Staging environments play a vital role in website development and maintenance. They offer a secure environment where you can experiment with changes and updates without impacting your live website. In this guide, I will explain the process of creating and managing a WordPress staging site using Softaculous.
Creating a Staging Site
1. Click on Softaculous Apps Installer
2. Click on Installations
3. Click on Create Staging
4. Click on Create Staging
5. Congratulations, the staging was created successfully
Changes on the staging website
Once your staging site is set up, you can log in to the WordPress admin panel using the same credentials as your live site. Here, you can make any changes you need, such as:
- Adding or Editing Pages
- Updating WordPress Software
- Installing Themes
- Updating or/and Installing Plugins
Pushing Changes to the Live Site
Once you have finalized the changes in the staging environment and are content with them, you can proceed to deploy these modifications to your live website. Follow the below steps:
1. Go to Softaculous – All Installations
2. Click on Push to Live Icon
3. Click on Push to Live
4. Successfully pushed to live

Any changes you made on the staging site, is now on your live site.
