Introduction
Typically, your WordPress site dispatches emails using the PHP mail function provided by your hosting server. This method is fast and demands no initial configuration on your part. Nonetheless, it’s important to note that emails sent in this manner lack authentication.
Without proper authentication, your emails might be blocked before they even reach their intended recipients. To overcome this issue, consider using an authenticated method. In this guide, we’ll delve into setting up SMTP authentication using a cPanel mail account.
To proceed with the following guide, you’ll require the login details of a cPanel mailbox. If you don’t have these details, please click here to view our guide on setting up a mail client.
We recommend using WP Mail SMTP. While there are several similar plugins available, this guide specifically focuses on WP Mail SMTP.
